15 <br /> Task 5—Take and Test Steel Coupons <br /> TranTech/Mayes <br /> Two steel coupons shall be cut from the top flange of the steel cap beam at Bent 3 and <br /> laboratory tested to establish steel properties such as carbon content(ductility), tensile <br /> strength (yield point) and weldability. Locations are identified on the attached drawing. <br /> Task 6—Concrete Evaluation <br /> TranTech/Mayes (w/subcontract to Dominion Consulting, Inc.) <br /> First a delamination test(chain drag)needs to be performed on the concrete used on the <br /> sidewalks of the Bridge (see attached drawing). <br /> The two concrete cores obtained under Task 3 shall be laboratory tested to establish <br /> concrete properties for compression strength, composition and chloride content. <br /> Task 7—Report Preparation <br /> TranTech <br /> A comprehensive Report with recommendations shall be compiled regarding the results <br /> and conclusions from all task activities mentioned above. <br />
