Mitigation <br />Our client unknowingly intruded into both the stream and wetland buffer. The intrusion <br />included removal of few trees and shrubs and some minor grading. <br />The disturbed area encompasses approximately 1200 square feet of wetland / stream <br />buffer. <br />Proposed Mitigation <br />Because of the limited size and intensity of the disturbance(s), mitigation in the form of <br />enhancement should fully restore any buffer function. <br />The buffer contains significant areas of invasive plant species (Reed Canary Grass & <br />Ivy). <br />We feel that replanting of the buffer and removal of the invasive plants will adequately <br />restore pre-existing buffer conditions if not result in improved buffer function. <br />Proposed Mitigation is as follows: <br />ACTION <br />AREA <br />Remove Fill Include BMP's) <br />1200 sq ft <br />Remove Invasive plants <br />3200 so ft <br />Replant Buffer w / trees and shrubs <br />4400 sq ft (area containing invasive plants <br />+ fill) <br />
