The existing <br />concrete block wall can be rated as 2-hour fire resistive constiuction, <br />openings of any kind are not permitted in this caa11. <br />4. Parapets are required in the caalls less than 2� feet from the property <br />:ine. Sec. 1709(a) The parapet may be eliminated if a 2-hour fire resistive <br />ceiling is provided. (Sec. 1709(a) exception 2. ltao layers of ]./2" x-rated <br />gypsum wallboard, staggered and nailed with 6d naila at 9" on center for the <br />tirst layer and 8d ccoler nails at 7" on =enter for the second 11yer. T1iis <br />ceiling shall extend 5 feet from tlie inside face of the wall requi.ring the <br />parapet. The gypsum wall board shall be uailed to supports 16" on center. <br />The roof trusses were 2'-0" on center so 1-1/2" thick stripping is required. <br />Item 27 Table 43c and Sec. 4704(b) <br />5. A dust collection and exhaust system shall be provided in accordance <br />with sections 1008 and 1009 for saw dust producing equipment in the cabinet <br />sitop. <br />6. ltao conforming exits are required from every area over 200 squRre feet <br />in E occupancies, Sec. 3319. One exit from the auto shop can be into the <br />cabinet shop. If ehis door is installed it sha11 be a 1-hour fir= labeled door <br />and frame, with 1-hour hardware and a self-closing fire assembly. Sec. 4306. <br />For security, locks can be installed. However, if the locks are used a sign on <br />each side oF the door shall be posted which shall read "This door shall remain <br />unlocked during business hours." The door shall be 3'-0" X 6'8" mir�imum with a <br />90° scoing into the cabinet shop. <br />The above items should be corrected before a certificate of occupancy is issued. <br />No building shall be used or occupied until the certificate of occi�pancy is <br />issued.
