June 10, 2015 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br />p.m., June 10, 2015 in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br />Historic City Hall, President Bader presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br />that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Gipson, <br />Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Members Moore and <br />Murphy were excused. <br />Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the June 3, 2015, City Council meeting were approved as <br />printed. Council Member Bader abstained from the vote. <br />I& FWAVLOI 601 <br />The Mayor had no comments. <br />Council Member Tuohy announced that the Everett Historic Museum has <br />set up a photography exhibit, the first 50 years of Everett, at the Schack <br />Art Center. The exhibit will open to the public on June 18, 2015. <br />Council Member Stonecipher reported on her attendance at the Parks <br />Board Commission meeting last night. <br />Council Member Stonecipher expressed concern regarding the illegal <br />activity taking place in the vicinity of the Everett Gospel Mission and its <br />impact on the businesses in the area. She questioned whether there is <br />anything the city can do to help alleviate that impact. <br />Mayor Stephanson suggested that the proposed ordinance outlawing <br />sitting/lying on city streets be brought back for further discussion and <br />possible approval. <br />Council Member Roberts advised that Sound Transit will hold a meeting at <br />the Everett Station on June 18, 2015, at 5:30 p.m., to discuss the future of <br />Sound Transit.
