The conlraclor
installed the remaining 4 piles supporliny the house footing the following day
but a site visit was riot required.
The 2" dia. piles were tested for refusal using a 1401bs pneumatic hammer and
1 minute of sustained driving. The maximum allowable settlement in one
minute is 3/4". All tested piles met the design requirements of the approved
siructural plans.
Due to an interfering downspout drain line, lhe ►hree piles spaced at 6'6" were
increased to 6'11" and the northern most pile was relocated around the corner
of the house. The original design aliowed for piles to be spaced at a maximum
of 6'11". This change is acceptable with Ihe original design.
At the time of the observation all work was in conformance with the approved
structural plans.
DISCLAIMER
This obsenalion was performed on ? 1/17I08 and is the professional opinion o( CG
Engineering PLLC based on the informalion available during lhis assessment or evaluation.
This report does not warrant or guarantee that all conditions were discovered al lhe lime ot
lhe observalion or evaluation.
