<br /> Dennis Gregoire, of the Planning Department, reported the applicant,
<br /> Jensen Reynolds Construction Co. , had applied for a Shoreline Permit
<br /> to construct a 3 , 700 square foot office building, f.uture 4 , 800 square __
<br /> foot equipment repair shop, ec�uipment/material stora�e yard and fabri- �
<br /> c.ation yard to be located SOO ;feet west of Norton Avenue on 13th
<br /> Street on approximately 8 acres . He said a neighborhood meeting had
<br /> been held and positive feedback received . The Planning, Comrnission
<br /> held a PuUlic Ilearinq on December 15th and recommended granting the
<br /> Permit subject to 25 conditions .
<br /> Moved by Councilman Michelson, seconded by Councilman Langus , to adopt
<br /> Resolution No. 2039 as follows :

<br /> t�FiEREAS, apPlication was made for a Shoreline Permit to allow con-
<br /> struction of an office building and repair shop and use of the remainder
<br /> of the property located 500 feet west of Norton and north 13th Street
<br /> as a fabrication yard; and
<br /> o-IHEREAS, a public hearing was h�ld before the Planning Commission on
<br /> December 15, 1981 , and at this hearing public testimony �vas received; and
<br /> t9HEREAS, the Planning .Commission made findings , conclusions , and a
<br /> recommendation which are hereby attached .
<br /> . NOt�, '�IEIt�FORE, SE IT RESOLVED that the Everett City Council hereby
<br /> adopts the Planning Commission' s findings, conclusions and recommendation
<br /> Councilman Aldcroft suid if Condition fl4 would require installation of
<br /> sidewalks he was opposed because of . safety reasons as there were no
<br /> connecting sidewalks at this time. Mr. Gregoire said this condition was
<br /> included because substantial redevelopment of adjoining properties was
<br /> expected in the near future.
<br /> Ploved by Councilman Aldc.roft, seconded by Councilman Langus, to amend
<br /> Coridition k9 to read StYeet improvements in conformance 'with 555-76
<br /> • • and 793-B1 are required, except sidewalks" , and add the fol.lowing to
<br /> Condition „18, "which to the extent feasible shall be consistent and
<br /> contemporaneous with development of adjacent properties with regard to
<br /> side�aalks" .
<br /> Roll was calied on the amendment with all Councilmen •�oting yes, except
<br /> Councilmen Pope and Gipson, who were excused.
