Agreement. The City's abatement of the above -referenced unabated violations is <br />hereafter referred to as the "Abatement". <br />I hereby authorize the City of Everett, its officers, agents, employees, and contractors <br />to enter onto my Property for the Abatement. I understand the City will notify me, in <br />writing, of the Abatement date at least two days prior to it. Further, I authorize the City <br />of Everett, its officers, agents, employees, and contractors to enter onto the Property to <br />obtain an estimate for the cost of the Abatement. Notice may be by U.S. Mail, or <br />posting the Property, or as otherwise agreed to by myself and the City. <br />I understand the Abatement will involve the disposal or destruction of things that I own <br />and/or other actions, including, but not limited to the following: <br />The residence will be boarded to prevent unauthorized persons(s) form entering. All <br />discarded junk, garbage, trash, litter, discarded lumber, salvage materials, discarded <br />furniture, household equipment, and other similar materials on the exterior of the <br />property will be removed and disposed of. The City will assume that ALL items of <br />personal property on the exterior of the Property (e.g. in n any yard or driveway) that are <br />not inside the structure are discarded and the City will remove and dispose of ALL such <br />discarded personal property. Any items you do not want disposed of, or <br />destroyed must be removed from the exterior of the Property prior to the <br />abatement date. <br />I know that there is a risk of bodily injury, property damage, or other loss that may <br />result from the Abatement. I agree to indemnify and release the City of Everett, its <br />officers, agents, employees and contractors from any claim, liability, loss, bodily, <br />mental, or emotional injury, death, or damages that may relate to or arise from the <br />Abatement. <br />The total cost of the Abatement, including incidental expenses, shall be billed to me. <br />The term incidental expenses shall include, but not be limited to: personnel costs, both <br />direct and indirect, including attorney's fees incurred by the City; costs incurred in <br />documenting the violation(s) of the EMC; the actual expense and costs to the City in the <br />preparation of notices, specifications and contracts related to all violation and <br />abatement activity, and inspecting the abatement activities; and the costs of all <br />required printing and mailing. <br />I agree that if I fail to pay the assessed costs, the city may attach a lien against the <br />property that is subject of the Order in accordance with EMC 1.20.090. Such lien shall <br />
