,

Port of Everett
f November 10, 1997
Mr. Dan Mathias
CITY OF EVERETT PUBLIC WORKS
3200—Cedar Street
Everett, WA 98201
Re: Fishermen's Boat Shop(FBS) Stormwater Discharge
Dear Dan:
The purpose of this letter is to support FBS in their application to discharge
stormwater frem their facility into the City's sanitary line. Since the Port has agreed to
pa:tially fund the pump station upgrades necessary to handle increased peak flows
resulting from stonnwater discharges to the City's sanitary line vis a vis the South
Marina, we think it rnakes sense to allow FBS to make use of any excess capacity that
may result fron these upgrades as well. We have examined their engineering report and
conceptual design (Reid Middleton) and we are in agreement as to their specific '
recommendation.
As.you know, FBS has been a tenant in good standing ofthe Port for many years.
To the extent their application meets the City's requirements, and as long as the
additional flows from FBS are seconda7- to our own needs, we make no objection and
recommend your approval.
Sincerely,
 v
John M.
