. PUL/C Iq/O/K,,r c
, .
py
Nov.20, 1997
John Mohr,Executive Directar
Port of Everett
170Q West Marine View Dr..
Everett, Wash. 98201 '
Subj: Fishertnan's Boat Shop
Deaz Mr. Mohr:
The purpose of this letter is to confirm my voice mail message to yuu on November 20, 1997 regarding
Fishertnan's Boat Shop. I received a letter from you dated November 10, 1997 stating that you
recommended approval of Fisherman's Boat Shop proposal to discharge stormwater intu the Ciry's sewer
system as long as the additional flows are seconda.ry to the Port's nees.
I assume by this statement that you are referring to the City's previous approval of the discharge of 2.4
CFS of stormwater runoff from the Port Gardner Landing project. In fact, it was previously agreed by
the Port of Everett, Fisherman's Boat Shop and the City of Everett (reference attached copy of July 7,
1997 letter from Reid Middleton) that the total discharge of stormwater runoff from the Port Gardner
Landing project and Fisherman's Boat Shop would be limited to 2.4 CFS. This means thai the discharge
from the Port Gardner Landing project must be decreased by whatever is discharged from Fisherman's
Boat Shop.
The current plan by Fishertnan's Boat Shop calls for a dischazge of up to 0.21 CFS oF stortnwater into
the Ciry's sewer system. Therefore, as previously agreed, jhe discharge from the Port Gardner Landing
project must be reduced to 2.19 CFS.
I hope ththis misunderstanding does not cause a signif:ant problem for the Port of Everett. If it does,
I would be harpy to meet with a representative of the Port of Everett to discuss this further. Please feel
free to call me at(425) 257-8855 if you havc Tny questions or if you would like to schedule a meeting.
Si c rely,
//%L _`-
Dan Mathias, P.E.
Utilities Engineer
cc: Clair Olivers I
1MohrNov
CITY OF EVERETT•3200 Cedar SLeet• Everett, WA 98201 •(206) 259-8800•Fax (206) 259-8882 '
