The TIP lists all the anticipated transportation capital improvements for which the City may <br />pursue some phase of development during the next six year period (2016-2021). The TIP includes street and <br />highway improvements, non -motorized projects, and transit investments. It is a financially unconstrained list. <br />The resolution authorizes City staff to seek funding for the various project phases which could include <br />design, right -of way acquisition, equipment acquisition, construction, or implementation. <br />New this year is a "Pori - Marine Industrial Transportation Improvements" category that reflects important <br />Port of Everett projects like the Marine Terminals Maintenance and Expansion, Marine Terminals On -dock <br />Rail Upgrades, and Everett Harbor and Snohomish River Federal Navigation Channel Improvements. These <br />projects are supported by the Marine Port Element being added to the City's comprehensive plan update. The <br />listing of these port projects doesn't obligate the City to any fiulding participation in the projects. <br />The Transportation Advisory Committee and Planning Commission have reviewed the 2016-2021 TIP and <br />reconunend its approval. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt a Resolution adopting the Annual <br />Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Update for 2016 to 2021. <br />23 <br />
