Fire alarm systems shall be installed under permit of the City of Everett Building Department. <br />Electrical inspections and approval are required prior to calling for acceptance tests. An approved automatic suppression system shall be provided as required by City Ordinance t1o. <br />1902-92, Chapter 16.76, of ffie Everett Municipal Code. <br />Plans for such a system shall be submitted to the Building Department and [he Fire Marshal for <br />examination and approval. Su^h plans shall include plans for the underground mains that will supply <br />the sprinkler system. <br />Aboveground sprinkler piping sha;l be hydrostatically tested as established in NFPA Standard 13. <br />Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and flushed as established in NFPA Standard 24 <br />for private fire mains. All such tests shall be witnessed by a Fire Department inspector. <br />Contractor's materials and test certificates shall be submitted to the Everett Fire Department prior to <br />issuance of any Certificates of Occupancy. Call (425) 257-8123 for more information <br />17. Fire safety practices during construction shall be in compliance with Article 87 of the UniForm Fire <br />Code. <br />18. Based upon 7,800 sq.ft. of Type V-N, sprinklered construction, the fire flow requirement is 1,500 <br />gpm. <br />19. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of every structure. <br />Location of the hydrant(s) shall Ue approved by the Fire Marshal. <br />20. Buildings containing high-piled combustible storage shall be in accordance with P.rticle 81 of the 1994 <br />Uniform Fire Code Standards. A Fire Department permit is required for high-piled storage. <br />
