9 <br /> Section IV: Service Connections <br /> Everett Transit provides service to the following major destinations/areas: <br /> - Everett Community College - WA State DSHS/Employment Security <br /> - Everett Mall - Social Security Office <br /> - Naval Station Everett - Everett Marina <br /> - Boeing Everett Plant - Silver Lake Park <br /> - Amtrak at Everett Station - Forest Park <br /> - Greyhound at Everett Station - 'Legion Park <br /> - Everett Central Business District - Cascade High School <br /> - Everett Station Park and Ride - Everett High School <br /> - Everett Clinic - Sequoia High School <br /> - Mukilteo Ferry Dock - University Consortium at Everett Station <br /> - Providence Hospitals - Everett Gospel Mission <br /> - Everett Public Libraries - WorkSource Everett at Everett Station <br /> - Everett Group Health Cooperative - Snohomish County Complex <br /> - Everett Senior Center <br /> Numerous common bus stops are shared with Sound Transit, the regional system, and <br /> Community Transit, the countywide system, within our city limits. ET also connects in <br /> Mukilteo with the Washington State Ferry(WSF)system's service between Mukilteo <br /> and Clinton. <br /> Section V: Activities in 2008 <br /> Several major activities were continued in 2008. At the regional level, significant staff <br /> time was dedicated to the coordination of activities with Sound Transit's regional <br /> express transit service. Staff resources were committed to numerous interagency <br /> committees on planning, fares, marketing, accessibility and customer service issues for <br /> the bus routes connecting Everett with the Puget Sound region. Significant staff <br /> resources were also used to coordinate with Community Transit's SWIFT(BRT) <br /> development plans. <br /> In 2008 Everett Transit began operations from the North Operation's Base. Occupation <br /> of this facility will provide space for equipment and personnel through 2012. <br /> Everett Transit also completed and opened a new Transit Center—College Station - <br /> located next to the Everett Community College. <br /> In 2008 we completed the upgrade of our on board video system so all revenue vehilces <br /> have camera systems with GPS capability. <br /> Everett Transit continued our shelter replacement program by replacing 12 shelters and <br /> added 8 Simme Seats. In 2009, we will continue the shelter replacement program, <br /> replacing 13 shelters and plan to add 19 shelters, 3 benches and 5 Simme Seats. <br /> 106 5 <br />
