6 <br /> 77 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION accepting a gift of 15 Glock Pistols from <br /> Everett Community College for use by Everett Police officers. <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Community College has used Glock pistols in its Criminal Justice training <br /> program and Park Ranger academy; and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Community College has notified the Everett Police Department of its desire to <br /> give 15 of the Glock pistols to the City of Everett for use by Everett Police officers; and <br /> WHEREAS,the pistols are models that Everett Police officers are currently using; and <br /> WHEREAS, EMC 2.105.020 grants the Mayor authority to conditionally accept gifts of personal <br /> property and the Mayor does recommend acceptance of this gift of personal property from Everett <br /> Community College; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the City of Everett accepts the gift of 15 Glock pistols from Everett Community <br /> College for use by Everett Police officers in the normal course of their duties. <br /> Council Person Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this day of March,2009. <br /> Council President <br /> 50 <br />
