CHIP - Community Housing Improvement Program Administration <br /> CHIP provides housing rehabilitation services and loans to residents of Everett. <br /> Rehabilitation services (loan processing, preparation of bid specifications, selection and <br /> monitoring of contractors) are provided to homeowners and landlords whose property is <br /> located within the program boundaries. A variety of loans (conventional, guaranteed, <br /> reduced interest, and deferred payment) are available to homeowners based on income. <br /> Due to accounting changes required by HUD, some CHIP Administration funds may be <br /> used for CHIP program loans, and some CHIP program income may be used for CHIP <br /> Administration. <br /> Recommended 2009 CDBG Funds: $364,872.00 <br /> 12. CHIP - Community Housing Improvement Program Rehabilitation Loans <br /> CHIP provides housing rehabilitation services and loans to residents of Everett. These <br /> funds will be used for loans for single family home rehabilitation. <br /> Recommended 2009 CDBG Funds: $66,987.00 <br /> Recommended reallocated HOME Funds: $13,517.00 <br /> Recommended 2009 CDBG Stimulus Funds: $184,958.10 <br /> 13. HOME for Good — Urban Gardens <br /> These funds will be used to build a mixed use building at 3122 and 3128 Broadway. It <br /> will be a green build, workforce homeownership project, using a community land trust to <br /> maintain affordability over a long period. At least 11 of the units will be for residents <br /> earning 80% of median income or less. <br /> Recommended Reallocated HOME funds: $200,000.00 <br /> 14. Parkview Services - Homeownership <br /> Parkview Services will provide down payment assistance for very low, low, and moderate <br /> income first time home buyers with special needs. <br /> Recommended 2009 HOME Funding: $80,305.00 <br /> Recommended Reallocated HOME funds: $37,195.00 <br /> Recommended ADDI Funds: $14,880.00 <br /> 15. Boys and Girls Club — Casino Road Club Improvements <br /> The Boys and Girls Club will use these funds to make improvements to the exterior of the <br /> 9Casino Road Club, located at 535 Casino Road. The improvements will include roof <br /> Lk replacement. <br /> Recommended 2009 CDBG Funds: $45,650.00 <br />
