March 22, 2017 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Council Member Murphy also reported on his attendance at the NLC <br /> Conference last week, and stated he had emailed a memorandum to <br /> council members summarizing the visit. He also reported that he attended <br /> meetings of the Lowell and Delta Neighborhoods this week, and the topic <br /> of Transit bus shelters came up. Council Member Murphy asked if there <br /> might be plans to erect a bus shelter on South 2"d Avenue in the <br /> southbound direction, and requested that Transportation Services review <br /> this request. <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, stated Transportation Services would look <br /> into this request. <br /> Council Member Murphy reported that he provided welcoming remarks for <br /> the Everett Little League kick-off event last Saturday at the Phil Johnson <br /> Ballfields. He stated Cory Rettenmier and the entire staff deserve kudos <br /> for their efforts to ready the fields for the baseball season. <br /> Council member Bader provided a report on his attendance at the Vision <br /> Committee meeting last Monday. He announced the next committee <br /> meeting will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017, 6:00-8:00 p.m., in the <br /> Weyerhaeuser Room at Everett Station. He also reported on his <br /> attendance at meetings of the South Forest Park and Cascade View <br /> Neighborhoods. <br /> Council Member Franklin reported on her attendance at the NLC <br /> Conference last week. She reminded the public that the "Beyond the <br /> Streets Addiction" forum will be held tomorrow at the Everett Historic <br /> Theatre from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Council Member Franklin also announced the <br /> Public Safety Subcommittee will meet in the Council Chambers on April <br /> 19, 2017, at 5:15 p.m. <br /> President Tuohy provided a liaison report on her attendance at the Everett <br /> Public Library Board meeting last night.
