March 29, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., March 29, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, <br /> it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 22, 2017, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Moore provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Northwest neighborhood meeting. He also commented on his attendance <br /> at the State of Snohomish County address held today. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported that he attended the "Beyond the <br /> Streets Addiction" forum on March 23' and thanked the Mayor and other <br /> organizers of this event. Council Member Roberts also read into the <br /> record a memo, jointly prepared with Council Member Murphy, <br /> recommending next steps for the development of a Climate Action Plan. <br /> President Tuohy stated it would be good if the recommendation went to a <br /> subcommittee for development of next steps. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated it was important to make sure <br /> Administration is involved and suggested referral to the General <br /> Government and Budget Subcommittees. He also emphasized that the <br /> City should continue to be a regional partner on this issue. <br /> Council Member Murphy stated the budget goal is to develop common <br /> sense recommendations, while being mindful of budget implications. <br /> 96 <br />
