RESOLUTION NO. 7094 <br /> A RESOLUTION adopting a Library Inactive Account Policy <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Public Library has approximately 9,000 accounts that have been <br /> inactive for over 10 years. <br /> WHEREAS, these older accounts have fallen off credit reports, and contact information is often <br /> long out of date. <br /> WHEREAS, national credit reporting standards that took effect in June 2016 do not allow the <br /> library to credit report delinquent patrons for non-payment of charges. <br /> WHEREAS, the Library has drafted an Inactive Account Policy, which is attached to this <br /> resolution as Exhibit A. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett: <br /> 1.
