Stephanson <br /> 2930 Wetmore Ave., <br /> Everett,WA 98201 <br /> WHEREAS,Everett's Police Department ("EPD")will enhance its intelligence gathering and analysis <br /> capability;and <br /> WHEREAS,this analytical capability will be incorporated into the Seattle Urban Area Security Initiative <br /> Component of the Washington State Joint Analytical Center;and <br /> WHEREAS,the enhancement of the analytical capability within the Seattle Urban Area will result in a greater <br /> ability to prevent terrorism and major crime;and ! <br /> WHEREAS,EPD intends to pursue the sustainment of a long-term analytical capacity for their City and <br /> UASI region; <br /> NOW THEREFORE,in consideration of the terms,conditions,covenants,and performance of the scope of <br /> work contained herein,or as attached and made a part hereof,the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> ARTICLE I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES <br /> In consideration of the provision of services described under Article III Scope of Work,SPD will <br /> supplement the hiring of one F1'h Intelligence Analyst at EPD for a period of up to one year. Such <br /> position shall provide a critical element of a new program being implemented in the Seattle Urban Area <br /> in support of the Seattle Urban Area Security Initiative. This analytical program will provide an <br /> analytical capability within the northern region of the Seattle Urban area,city of Everett and <br /> Snohomish County. <br /> ARTICLE II. SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> No spe«al conditions apply to this agreement. <br /> ARTICLE III.
