Work Change Directive 058—Raise an existing 24-inch HDPE vertical pipe west of Clearwell No. <br /> 2 to the proposed new grade. Increase the Contract by$1,590.10. <br /> 9. Work Change Directive 059—Install a ladder between the slab-on-grade and 84-inch FW discharge <br /> pipe from the Clearwell Flow Distribution Structure. Increase the Contract by $2,722.82. <br /> JUSTIFICATION: <br /> 1. Work Change Directive 043 —The overflow diversion structure was constructed to divert a <br /> possible overflow away from the creek. The stair had to be relocated to allow construction of <br /> the diversion structure. <br /> 2. Work Change Directive 046—The additions and revisions were necessary to operate the <br /> systems that were not accounted for in the design. <br /> 3. Work Change Directive 051 —The oil separator was necessary due to petroleum products tested <br /> and documented in the ground water during excavation at these two adjacent sites. <br /> 4. Work Change Directive 052 —The temporary power was provided to assist the City of Everett <br /> in plant operations during Plant shut-downs for diversion of filtered water to Clearwell No 2 to <br /> allow construction of the Clearwell Flow Distribution Structure. <br /> 5. Work Change Directive 055 —Added valve allows isolation of water to Clearwell No. 2 <br /> without affecting delivery to other locations. <br /> 6. Work Change Directive 056—The power monitors and gauges were added to the sample <br /> pumps at the suggestion of the manufacturer's representative who performed the installation <br /> and start-up services on the pumps. <br /> 7. Work Change Directive 057 —The lid for the existing chemical vault would have been buried if <br /> not raised to the proposed project grades. <br /> 8. Work Change Directive 058 —The top of the 24-inch HDPE pipe would have been buried if not <br /> raised to the proposed project grades. <br /> 9. Work Change Directive 059—The ladder was added to provide access through Clearwell No. 1 <br /> into the Clearwell Flow Distribution Structure. This route was decided upon because the length <br /> of a ladder from the top of the CFDS would have required a caged ladder or an intermediate <br /> landing. Also the only time access into the CFDS would be available would be when Clearwell <br /> No.1 is out of service. <br /> CONTRACT TIME: <br /> Contract time will not be changed by this Change Order. <br /> 52 <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br />
