ROBIN KIRSCHBAUM, INC. <br /> watert <br /> epnignneg <br /> g <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> S C 5,t W { <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On August 1, 2012, the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) reissued the <br /> National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Municipal Stormwater <br /> Permit (permit), effective August 1, 2013 through July 31, 2018.As a Phase Il Permittee, the <br /> City of Everett (City)was required to update their Stormwater Management Manual (SWMM) to <br /> make Low Impact Development (LID) the preferred and commonly used approach to new and <br /> redevelopment. The updated SWMM, effective December 31, 2016, adopted the guidance of <br /> the 2014 Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington (Ecology Manual). <br /> The City has retained Robin Kirschbaum, Inc. (RKI, Consultant) to assist with implementing the <br /> updated SWMM and other new requirements of the permit. The Consultant will also provide <br /> engineering support services to assist the City with engineering design or design review as- <br /> needed. The anticipated tasks for this project are listed below: <br /> • Task 100— Project Management <br /> • Task 200— NPDES Technical Assistance <br /> • Task 300— Engineering Support Services <br /> TASK 100: Project Management <br /> Objective <br /> Manage the project successfully by delivering services on time, on budget, and in accordance <br /> with professional industry standards. <br /> Consultant Services <br /> 1. Submit monthly invoice and progress report, including a description of work <br /> accomplished in the previous month, work planned for the coming month, and summary <br /> of scope or schedule issues. <br /> 2. Retain and coordinate the work of Subconsultants, as applicable. <br /> 3. Participate in project management meetings with the City's Project Manager to discuss <br /> status of scope, schedule, budget, and other project issues as applicable. These <br /> meetings will be conducted via telephone monthly, or as needed to successfully manage <br /> the project. <br /> City of Everett:2017 NPDES&Engineering Support 1 <br />
