CITY OF EVERETT PUBLIC WORKS <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 1 <br /> a. Improved strength of areas of precast floor panels using fiber reinforced polymer <br /> (FRP) or steel; <br /> b. Improved connections between precast roof/floor panels and walls using FRP or <br /> steel; <br /> c. Improved connection between the building structure and steel framing supporting <br /> the enclosure structure for the soda ash bins; <br /> d. Improved restraint for the base of the alum/poly tanks; <br /> e. Flex connections for the alum/poly tank piping; <br /> f. Upgraded utility connections at the interface between the building and ground; <br /> 1.4 WORK BY OWNER <br /> A. General: Cooperate fully with the Owner so that work may be carried out smoothly, without <br /> interfering with or delaying work under this Contract or work by the Owner. Coordinate the <br /> Work of this Contract with work performed by the Owner. <br /> 1.5 ACCESS TO SITE <br /> A. General: The Contractor shall have limited use of the Project site for construction operations as <br /> indicated on the Drawings by the Contract limits and as indicated by requirements of this <br /> Section. <br /> B. Use of Site: Limit use of the Project site to work in areas indicated. Do not disturb portions of <br /> the Project site beyond areas in which the Work is indicated. <br /> 1. Limits: Confine construction operations to areas where work has been specifically <br /> authorized by the Owner and as shown on the Drawings. <br /> 2. Limits: Limit site disturbance, including earthwork and clearing of vegetation, to 30 feet <br /> beyond building perimeter. <br /> 3. Driveways, Walkways, Loading Areas and Entrances: Keep driveways, walkways, <br /> loading areas, and entrances serving premises clear and available to the Owner, Owner's <br /> employees, and emergency vehicles at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or <br /> storage of materials, except as specifically authorized by the Owner. <br /> a. Schedule deliveries to minimize use of driveways and entrances by construction <br /> operations. <br /> b. Schedule deliveries to minimize space and time requirements for storage of <br /> materials and equipment on-site. <br /> 1.6 COORDINATION WITH OCCUPANTS <br /> A. Owner Occupancy: The Owner will vacate the Control Room and most of the Operations <br /> Building during the entire construction period. Cooperate with the Owner during construction <br /> operations to minimize conflicts and facilitate Owner access. Perform the Work so as not to <br /> interfere with the Owner's day-to-day operations for the remainder of the Site.
