Based on this review, I have determined that the change is not required to go back through the
Planning Commission and City Council review processes. The City Council specifically discussed changes to the building
elevations as their chief concern related to public expectations for the quality of the project.
We have spoken in concept about the proposed revision and you have provided some graphics to explain that the
changes proposed. It would involve eliminating the individual walkway between the public sidewalk and the front door
for each dwelling unit on the 3 buildings, and replacing that streetscape treatment with a terraced landscape frontage
consisting of a lower retaining wall and an upper retaining wall that would be landscaped to minimize the visual
impact. The connection between the sidewalk and the private walkway providing access to each unit would be at each
end of building 5, and at the east end of building 1 and west end of building 3.
1
