Floyd, President of Washington State University (WSU), passed away June 20, 2015. Dr. Floyd's work was vital in establishing the WSU-Everett campus after a decades -long campaign, fulfilling a vision he shared with the City of Everett. Dr. Floyd leaves a legacy that will touch innumerable people and affect generations of Everett citizens to come. This resolution urges the WSU Board of Regents to consider dedicating a `commons' area to Dr. Floyd as design and development of the Everett campus progresses. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): A resolution regarding a lasting tribute to Dr. Elson S.
