July 15, 2015 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br />p.m., July 15, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br />Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call it was <br />found that Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, <br />Stonecipher and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson and Council <br />Member Moore were excused. <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the July 8, 2015, City Council meeting were approved as <br />printed. Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br />MAYOR <br />President Bader introduced the following under Mayor's comments. <br />RESOLUTION — TRIBUTE TO DR. ELSON S. FLOYD <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br />Roberts, to adopt Resolution No. 6877 recognizing Dr. Elson S. <br />Floyd's vision, remarkable foresight and commitment to the citizens <br />of Everett and urging the Washington State University Board of <br />Regents to consider dedicating a university `commons' designed <br />within the campus development to Dr. Elson S. Floyd. <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br />Member Moore who was excused. <br />Motion carried. <br />Paul Petrie and Randy Bolerjack accepted the resolution on behalf of <br />Washington State University. <br />212 <br />
