July 29, 2015 <br />Debra Bryant, Administration, stated she would make inquiries of City <br />staff. <br />President Bader reported on his attendance at the Council of <br />Neighborhoods meeting last week. He announced that one of the <br />Council's signature events, Night Out Against Crime, will be held this <br />coming week and encouraged citizens to visit the City website for event <br />details. <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Jackie Minchew, Everett, commented on the recent Vatican -sponsored <br />meeting attended by mayors to address global warming and ongoing <br />demonstrations by kayakers protesting Shell drilling in the Arctic. <br />Jaye Lill, Everett, announced the upcoming Lowell Days Promenade <br />scheduled for August 8 and 9, 2015. She thanked Wendy McClure, <br />Neighborhoods, for assisting with this event. <br />Jackie Minchew, Everett, thanked the Council of Neighborhoods and <br />others for supporting the Lowell Days Promenade. <br />COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br />Budget Review Number 3 <br />Presented by Susy Haugen, Finance <br />Council Member Stonecipher inquired about the proposed hiring of a <br />design specialist in Public Works. <br />Debra Bryant, Administration, stated she would get additional information <br />about this position and report back to the Council. <br />226 <br />
