24. Any security fence erected around the construction site <br />must be located so as to not obstruct any existinq <br />hydrant, fire protection equipment, or Fire Department <br />access. IE Fire Department access is obstructed, qates <br />or other openings �ust be provided Eor access. <br />25. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor burninq. <br />Therefore, outdoor burning for the purpose of disposinq <br />oE construction debris or rubbish will not be <br />permitted. <br />26. The Washington State Clean Air Act requires the use of <br />all known, available, and reasonable means of <br />controllinq air pollution, includinq dust. Dust <br />qenerated durinq construction activities can be <br />controlled by wettinq those dust sources such as areas <br />of exposed soils, washing truck wheels before they <br />leave the site, and installing and maintaininq gravel <br />construction entrances. Construction vehicle track-out <br />is also a major dust source. Any evidence of track-out <br />can trigger violations and fines from the Department uf <br />Ecology or the Puget Sound Air Pollution Control <br />Aqency. <br />GEtiER11L INFORMATZON <br />The Police Department has the followinq security <br />recomraendations: <br />1. A fire and intrusion alarm system for unoccupied staff <br />offices that can be monitored by stafP or outside siren <br />is recommended. Remote duress "panic" sersors for <br />staff are suggested. If appropriate, alar.n resident <br />perimeter doors which could alert staff should be <br />provided. A video system monitorinq the hallways is <br />most effective. <br />2. A narcotics cabiinet is recommended with at least 1/4" <br />velded steel plate with 3/8" case hardened steel hasp <br />and 1/2" case hardened steel shackle padlock. The <br />padlock should further be shielded with at least 1 1/4" <br />welded steel platinq to deter bolt c,utters. <br />]. IP offices will be handling cash, install a money safe <br />(for next day receipts) and install passivQ infrared <br />alarm sensor for larger areas. <br />4. Perimeter doors should be solid core with 190 deqree to <br />220 deqree widQ anqle viewers and sinqle cylinder dead- <br />bolts with 1" throw and at least 7" screws securing <br />striker platc. <br />5. <br />6. <br />7. <br />8. <br />Slidinq qlass doors shuuld have Charlie bars installed <br />for optimum security. <br />Address and apartment numbers should be in 5 inch <br />letter9 and visible from the street and parking lots. <br />Mailboxes should be centrally located in an area hiqhly <br />visible to the apartments. <br />Lighting of the parkiny lot should be a minimum of ]-4 <br />foot candles. <br />9.
