20. A portable fire extinquisher with a minimum U.L. ratinq oC 2-A must be provided wlthin ?5 feet oE travel of all portions of each buildinq durinq construction and prior to occupancy. 21. Fire safety practices durinq construction must be in conpltance with Article 87 oC the Uniforrti Fire Code. 22. A sprinkler system complyinq with UBC Standard ]8-1 and/or �!�PA standard 1] must be provided. Plans for any such system must be submitted to the Building Department and the Everett Fire Department for _ examination and approval. Such plans must include plans for the underqround mains that will supply the sprinkler system. As of January, 1991, sprinkler system permits are issued by the Buildinq Department. Plan review fees are assessed by the Building Department. No fee is assessed by the Fire Department. Abave qround sprinkler pipinq must be hydrostatically tested as established in NFPA Standard 17. Underground piping must be hydrostatically tested and flushed as established in NFPS standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests must be witnessed by a Fire Department inspector.
