NOTE: Vegetative success is 80°'� per year <br />survival of irees, shrubs, cover of understory or emergent species <br />IV CONTINGENCY PLANIMAINTENANCE <br />If 2U°6 of lhe installed planls are severely stressed duriny any of tho inspections, or it <br />appears 20% may nol survive, additional planlings o( Ihe same species shall be added lo lhe <br />planting areas. Elements of a contingency plan shall include, but will not be limited to; more <br />aggressive weed control, animal conirol, mulching, replanting with larger planl material. <br />sp2cies substitution, fertilization and/or soil amendmenls. <br />Per the recommendalions of the Wetland Binlogist (Wetland Resources Report) at a <br />minimum, maintenance shall take piace during the spring and fall of each year in the <br />monitoring period. Maintenanco shall include, but will not be limited to, ��,moval of <br />non-native/invasive species (e.g. Hirnalayan and evergreen blackber�� and reed canary <br />grass; by hand i( necessary), replacemenl of dead plants, and�or replacement of mulch po be <br />done at lea�t once per year). Chemical control of invasive species, i( necessary, must be <br />approved in advance by the consultinc� wetland specialist and the City of Everett <br />representative, and shall be applied by a licensed applicator following all label instruction. <br />Maintenance will also include the removal oi all trash and debris that has accumulated in the <br />enhancement area. <br />V MAINTENANCEIWARRANTY 80NDS <br />Prior to ihe issuance of any Public \Norks or Building Pennits, a performance bond <br />(assurance device) shall be provided to the City of Everett in the amount of 12090 of the <br />estimated cost for plant replacement and labor, monitoring, and maintenance. Upon <br />determination of successful installation of ihe proposed mitigation, a portion o( this bond v�ill <br />be released. The City of Everett will keep a bond in the amo�nt of 90% of ihe estimated cost <br />for plant material and labor, monitoring, and maintenance. This second bond shall be <br />rcleased at Uie end of five years upon a successful determinalion by Ihe City o! Everolt for all <br />por�ions ef tf�is miligotion pro!ccl <br />
