The Everett Municipal Code requires that all property owners within 150 feet or adjacent to a public sanitary sewer shall connect their private sewer system to the public sewer after being notified by the Publir Works Department. Our records also indicate that your property is adjacent to, or is within 150 feet of an existing public �anitary sewer I have enclosed an excerpt irom our sanitary sewer chart indicating the proximity of your property to a public sanitary sewer system. A dye test requires the owner's permission and the residenCs notification to allow a city employee to enter the premises and flush dye into the toi�et. In a short amount of time the colored water w�ll appear in the sewer main if the residence is hooked up to the sewer system. In the event you are not currently connected t� the sewer and wish to delay connec„�n, the Cdy Engmeer may, on written request ircm the property owner, extend the time to connect to the public sewer for a pericd of •p to a maximum of ten (10) years; provided that, at the property owner's expense, the Snohomish Heslth District certifies, in writing, to the Public Works Department that the existing sewage system is operational.
