The uppec one (1) foot of native soil <br />should be scarified and recompacted to 90B of maximum dry density <br />1 (ASTM D-1557). Any soft areas should be subexcavated and hack- <br />filled with struc*ural fill. <br />i I� <br />J <br />J <br />� <br />The nonorganic soils and uncontrolled fill observed throughout the <br />site are moisture sensitive and will break down during wet working <br />conditions. Therefore, we recommend that work take place during <br />dry weather. <br />Pavement Section <br />[Over uncontrolled fill and peat]. <br />We understan� that the elevation of the proposed roadway surface <br />will be approximately two (2) feet above the exfsting grade at the <br />time of our fieldwork. We recommend placing a geotextile fabric <br />such a Mirafi SOOX on the exposed subgrade then placing two (2) <br />feet of free draining structural fill over the fabric.
