'ILe vegetadon on t6e fill is predomtnantly all weWnd apedes wiW a ratIng of <br />FACW or OBL <br />geed pnarygraas (phaloir mundinooea) ia visually dominant because of its rather <br />rapid g�rownh compared to the woody �pedes prcaent Soft rush (luncur eJjiuur)� sPirea <br />(Spirai da�tglasit), and wWow are oommon through..:�t the fill. <br />Scattered upland apecies cue6 ae Soot'a broom (Gytisur soopmiusl and blackberry <br />(Rubus dis�cnla) are alao praent on the 6ll; 6owever, t6ey are not as oommon as the <br />wetland speda and ue preaent because of the{r preferena for open diaturbed sites. <br />'ILe atea of wedxnd on the northern portion of this property which has not beea <br />f►lled contains a well-established ahn►b wedand dominated by spirea and various species of <br />wiUow shrubs. The 6erbaaous vegetadon in this �rea is compoud of soft rush and several <br />species of sedges (Cara app.). <br />'Ibe southweatern coruer of the property oontains a small pond eucaveted adjacent <br />to t6e stream, and a sawll remnant of emergent wedand which is periodically mowed. 1Le <br />vegetation is oomposed of velvet graas, soft rush, lady fern (Arhynum jrlir fimina), and <br />unideatified aedgea. A considerable portion of the wetland is vegetated with an unidentified <br />lawn grass. <br />Wetland Mea <br />As a result of We field surveys, We following wetland acreage was determined: <br />• northem portion of site: <br />- 0.21 acres w�f'illed spiraea wedand, <br />- 0.41 arres 6lled wetland (pioneeringluncus, willow, and spiraea vegetation <br />present); and <br />• southern portion of site: <br />- 0.16 acres of pond and adjaoent emergent Vegetadoa <br />Figure 2 shows the locadons and boundaries of the wedand areas. In addidon, a <br />narrow step of riparian and wedand vegetatioa, (approximately S feet wide) parallels the <br />Silver Lake Geek along the westem boundary of the property. <br />IMPACIS'I'O WETLAND <br />'Ibe proposed muld-family development will result in the loss of 0.41 acras of 6lled <br />wetland, and 0.24 acres of un6lled emergent wetland.
