Thoae intersections are:
121st Street S.E. at 19th Avenue S.E.
116th Street S.E. at 19th Avenue S.E.
112th Str.eet S.E. at 19th Avenue S.E.
Silver Lake Road at 112th Street S.E.
7th Avenue S.E, at 112th Straet S.E.
110th Street S.E. at 19th Avenue S.E.
OOth Street S.E. at 19t•h Avenue S.E.
E1 Capitan Way/I-5 Ramp at 19th Avenue S.E.
S.R. 526 ai• Hroadway Avenue
In addition, the site's access point with 121st Street S.E. will
alsu be included for the case that assumes the project in place
and fully occupied.
Traffic Characteristics
Current (1990) p.m. peak hour traEfic volume data is shown on
Figure 2. The peak hour data for the+ majorlty is taken from the
"Family Tree Apartments " traffic report as prepared by
Transportation Planning and Enqineerinq (TP6E). Traffic data at
the 172th Street S.E./Silver Lake Road and the 121st Street
S.E./19th Avenue S.E. intersections was collected by this firm
in early December 1990. Since 7th Avenue S.E. is presently
closed due to construction, data for the 7th Avenue S.E./112th
Street S.E. intrsection is estimated from prior (1988) counts
and averaqe daily traffic volumes collected in May 1990.
Secause recent traffic counts and analysis in the area has shown
that the p.m. peak hoar is the most critical in tezms of volume
and level of service, a.m. peak hour data will not be presented
:n this report. The p.m. peak should be considered as the
"design hour".
Trucic tra!!ic was lairly moderate in the in the p.m. peak hour
with heavy vehicles enerally representing less than 2 percent
o£ the totnl traffic. Pedestrian volumes were sufficiently low
so as to be insiqnificant in terms of analysis.
Geometric conditions, truck, and bus factors are noted in the
appendix as a part of the data input for the capacity
calculations.
