A trashrack is needed on the outlet of the wetpond to
I/ prevent floatable materials from entering the restrictor
manhole.
City standards require the pond to be designed with one foot
of freeboard. The top of the berm to the north is shown as
6 inches above the high water level. All berms should be
V one foot higher than the overflow standpipe in the
restrictor, although one side of the pond could be lower
than the rest to direct any overflows that exceed the
capacity of the overflow standpipe.
The plans should call for hydroseeding or sodding of the
pond aide slopes. Use of floatable materials (such as
beauty bark) below the freeboard mark of the pond is not
allowed per City standards.
Watvault:
Two acceeses should be provided to the wetvault, one at each
vend of the vault, for future maintenance (sediment removal)
purposes. one of the accesses should be a full access, with
a ladder to the bottom of the vault.
 ( [ Cll[illlV i
r'IV^
iG td'If the water depth in the pond musts be increased to address
rP City det tion requirements, City fencing requirements
should be ept in mi^.i. City standards require all surface
ponds or ba 'ns with a maximum depth greater than three feet
to be fenced th a six foot high perimeter fence unless one
of the followinconditions is met:
1) a 10 foot widesafety bench for every three feet of
design water depthand the side slopes of the pond are
no greater than 3:1(H:V); or
2) the maximum water depth f the facility does not exceed
three feet during a two y r storm, nor exceed three
feet for more than four ho for a 25 year storm; the
side slopes are a maximum of •1 (H:V); and the
facility is a dual use facility,or
3) specific City Council approval is g nted for an
exemption per che criteria in the Cit s Desiqn and
Construction Standards and Specificati s.
If fencing is required, its exact location and alo the
location of the gates necessary to access the pond for
maintenance need to be shown on the plans. ,
