Permit Conditions 0 <br /> 3 <br /> General. <br /> 1. The event will only be open to the public from 8:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m.on October 2nd,2010. If <br /> arrangements have been made for City street barricades,the barricades will be available at the <br /> intersections of Wall and Colby,Hewitt Ave and Colby,Everett Ave and Colby,23`d St and Colby, <br /> and 19th St.and Colby for use when the walkers are passing. Cars parked in the street dosure <br /> area will not be towed by Everett Police Department. Walkers will utilize only half of the <br /> roadway. <br /> 2. There shall be no fee of any kind charged or assessed the public for attending the event. <br /> 3. American Cancer Society/Making Strides Against Breast Cancer{ACS/MSABC)may not <br /> represent or imply that the event is City sponsored or sanctioned. <br /> 4. At its sole option,City may verify concurrences by adjoining property owners; lack of <br /> concurrence by any adjoining property owner may be cause for revocation or non-issuance of <br /> permit. <br /> 5. Permit may be revoked at any time after issuance if,in the sole opinion of the City staff, <br /> satisfactory compliance with permit conditions is not achieved or maintained. <br /> 6. Material changes to ACS plan presented to the city as of January 28th,2010 may only be made <br /> by ACS with the City's approval. In its sole discretion,the City may withhold approval. ACS <br /> acknowledges that such changes should be submitted sufficiently in advance to allow the City <br /> adequate time to review the proposed changes. <br /> 7. Foot traffic and pedestrian access to business establishments in the street closure area may not <br /> be blocked or impeded. <br /> 8. In the event any amendment or adoption of an ordinance takes effect before or during the <br /> event,ACS shall comply with the requirements of such ordinance,even if such ordinance <br /> establishes different requirements than those described in these conditions. These permit <br /> conditions will be deemed to be amended by such ordinance. <br /> 9. ACS must inform vendors,if there are any,that they need to obtain a City of Everett business <br /> license from the City Clerk in advance of the event.The business license must be clearly posted <br /> at the vendor location.Vendors without a valid business license will not be allowed to operate. <br /> Health/Safety <br /> 10. At its own expense,ACS will provide a minimum security of force of eight off-duty Everett Police <br /> officers(through the Everett Police Officers Association). Additionally,ACS will provide staff to <br /> assist with placing temporary traffic barriers and to route walkers. <br /> 11. ACS will staff a clearly designated event organization booth at the start/end location to manage <br /> lost and found,lost child,first aid,general questions,etc. <br /> 12. ACS volunteers and staff will wear dearly identifying shirts or jackets,and any ACS volunteer or <br /> staff that is assisting with traffic control,setting barriers,or directing walkers will wear a high <br /> visibility reflective vest. <br /> 13. ACS must clean up;the City will not provide cleaning equipment or labor. All clean up will be <br /> completed prior to 3:00 p.m. ACS will be charged for any fees related to clean-up if not <br /> completed to the satisfaction of the City. The City Street Department will conduct a dean-up <br /> inspection. <br /> 14. The permit and closures may be suspended or terminated for life/safety reasons or for failure or <br /> refusal to timely comply with reasonable direction by city personnel,such as police or fire,or <br /> failure to comply with permit conditions. <br /> 15. ACS will provide or arrange for sanitation facilities for the public that are reasonably adequate in <br /> quality and quantity. ACS shall locate the sanitation facilities reasonably close and convenient to <br /> 11 <br />
