Permit Conditions <br /> (1 <br /> General. <br /> 1. The event will only be open to the public from 8:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m.on April 24,2010. Cars <br /> parked in the street closure area will not be towed by Everett Police. <br /> 2. There shall be no fee of any kind charged or assessed the public for attending the event. <br /> 3. March of Dimes may not represent or imply that the event is City sponsored or sanctioned. <br /> 4. At its sole option,City may verify concurrences by adjoining property owners; lack of <br /> concurrence by any adjoining property owner may be cause for revocation or non-issuance of <br /> permit. <br /> 5. Permit may be revoked at any time after issuance if,in the sole opinion of the City staff, <br /> satisfactory compliance with permit conditions is not achieved or maintained. <br /> 6. Material changes to parade plan presented to the city as of March 23,2010 may only be made <br /> by March of Dimes with the City's approval. In its sole discretion,the City may withhold <br /> approval. March of Dimes acknowledges that such changes should be submitted sufficiently in <br /> advance to allow the City adequate time to review the proposed changes. <br /> 7. Foot traffic and pedestrian access to business establishments in the street closure area may not <br /> be blocked or impeded. <br /> 8. Neither March of Dimes nor any vendor of any booth may serve any alcoholic beverage. <br /> 9, In the event any amendment or adoption of an ordinance takes effect before or during the <br /> event,March of Dimes shall comply with the requirements of such ordinance,even if such <br /> ordinance establishes different requirements than those described in these conditions. These <br /> permit conditions will be deemed to be amended by such ordinance. <br /> 10. March of Dimes must inform any vendors that they need to obtain a City of Everett business <br /> license from the City Clerk in advance of the event.The business license must be clearly posted <br /> at the vendor location.Vendors without a valid business license will not be allowed to operate. <br /> 11. March of Dimes must coordinate with Everett Park's Department for use of facilities at Legion <br /> Park;this street closure approval does not grant approval on behalf of Everett Park's <br /> Department. <br /> Health/Safety <br /> 12. At its own expense,March of Dimes will provide a minimum of force of six off-duty officers <br /> (through the Everett Police Officers Association)or overtime officers(through the City of Everett <br /> Police Department)or private certified flaggers for traffic control at the intersections of 2"d and <br /> Alverson,19th and Grand, 19th and Colby,16th and Colby,10th and Colby,and Colby and Alverson <br /> during the event. <br /> 13. March of Dimes will staff a clearly designated event organization booth to manage lost and <br /> found,lost child,first aid,general questions,etc. <br /> 14. March of Dimes must clean up;the City will not provide cleaning equipment or labor. All clean <br /> up will be completed prior to street opening,but no later than12:00 p.m. March of Dimes will <br /> be charged for any fees related to clean-up if not completed to the satisfaction of the City. The <br /> City Street Department will conduct a clean-up inspection. <br /> 15. The permit and closures may be suspended or terminated for life/safety reasons or for failure or <br /> refusal to timely comply with reasonable direction by city personnel,such as police or fire,or <br /> failure to comply with permit conditions. <br /> 16. March of Dimes will provide sanitation facilities for the public and vendors that are reasonably <br /> adequate in quality and quantity. March of Dimes shall locate the sanitation facilities <br /> reasonably close and convenient to the staging area. If more people attend the event than <br /> expected, March of Dimes shall immediately arrange for additional sanitation facilities. <br /> 16 <br />
