17. If,and to the extent,areas or booths are dedicated to children and children's activities(other <br /> than retailing of children's goods),March of Dimes shall run background checks of all volunteers , <br /> and staff manning such booths and areas and shall not allow any persons convicted of crimes <br /> against children or registered sex offenders to staff or man such booths and areas. <br /> 18. March of Dimes must inform all food vendors that they need to obtain a Snohomish County <br /> Health District mobile food service permit or temporary food service permit in advance of the <br /> event.The permit must be clearly posted at the vendor location.Vendors without a valid permit <br /> will not be allowed to operate. <br /> 19. Beverages containing alcohol may not be sold or served. <br /> Vendors <br /> 20. No additional vendor requirements except as otherwise noted. <br /> Financial <br /> 21. From the time of permit issuance through the day after the event,neither March of Dimes nor <br /> any of its officers may be in default or arrears with any City financial obligation. <br /> Traffic <br /> 22. The street closure area is approved as designated on the attached Special Event Application. <br /> The street closure is limited to one-half of the roadway in use at the time the parade passes. <br /> 23. At a minimum,the parade will be led by and followed by vehicles with four way flashers in <br /> operation. At its option,and if March of Dimes pays overtime or off duty pay,the Police <br /> Department will provide a patrol car(s)for the lead and follow of the parade. <br /> 24. At its option,and if March of Dimes pays overtime for traffic technician,the City may consider <br /> flashing operations of signal lights at 19th and Colby while the event is occurring. <br /> Risk Management <br /> 25. $1 million dollar event insurance provided by March of Dimes,2010,with the City endorsed as <br /> additional insured,with coverages specified by the City and with an insurer acceptable to the <br /> City. <br /> 26. March of Dimes and its officers must jointly and severally defend,indemnify and hold the City <br /> harmless from any and all claims of any kind in a form provided or approved by the City <br /> Attorney's Office,to be completed by April 20th,2010. <br /> 27. Booth vendors,performers,subcontractors,etc shall defend and indemnify the City from any <br /> claims for damages to property,bodily injury,or economic loss that arise out of,pr are related <br /> to,the event. <br /> 28. March of Dimes shall be financially responsible and promptly repair any and all damage to the <br /> property of the city or third parties,including adjacent property owners. <br /> 17 <br />
