October 3, 1977 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett Board of Adjustment was held at 7:00 p.m <br />in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Everett, Washington. <br />Mr. Baird presided; Mr. Russell, Mr. Kristiansen, and Mr. Black were present; <br />Mr. Berg was absent. <br />Under old business, Mr. James Dupler of 320 Olympic Blvd, Everett, 'RA 98203, <br />withdrew his application. <br />The following items are under new business: <br />Akers and Howard Moore who are applying for 3312 Kromer. They <br />are requesting permission to construct a single family residence to within <br />line <br />an <br />nty <br />feet`10Alsoeto allow for na deck etoyrather <br />extend six(6)hfeet hint gthe erear e(20) <br />yard <br />setback. <br />LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 10 except the west 85 feet thereof and Lot 11 <br />except the west 85 feet thereof, Block 783, Stanford <br />Land Company's Add. to Everett <br />ADDRESS: Approximately 3312 Kromer ` <br />ZONINGS R-1 Single Family Low Density Residence <br />Mr. Dan Bovey, 4619 Baker Drive, represented Mr. Moore and Mr. Akers. <br />Mr. Bovey made the following statements: <br />1. That the proposed new single family residence will be 2A feet <br />from ground level. <br />2. There have been other variances granted In the immediate area <br />for similar requests. <br />3. Also that they are proposing a residence that will minimize the <br />loss of view to the neighbors. <br />There was some opposition from the neighbors. The main objection was the <br />obstruction of view that they hays been enjoying for the past many years. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and considering all the facts <br />and testimony, it was moved by Mr. Russell, seconded by Mr. Kristiansen, <br />and unanimously carried, that the variance be granted for the following <br />reasons: <br />1. It does comply with Section 19.70.060 of the Everett Municipal <br />Code, Paragraph 2, which says that such variance is necessary for <br />of a <br />ial <br />operty <br />the appellant possessed byervation and tthe ownerstoftotherrpropertyiint <br />of thehe pp <br />the same vicinity or zone. <br />
