Add 3/4" counter tops to new base <br />cabinets and cover with laminate, formica or equal. Add <br />a 4" high (minimum) backsplash to walls adjacent to new <br />counters. Owner to select laminate color. <br />Laundry area. Install the same type of cabinets along <br />the west wall with the locations and sizes of cabinets <br />as called out in the drawings. Add 3/4" countertop to <br />new base cabinet and cover with laminate, formica or <br />equal, complete with 4" backsplash. Owner to select <br />laminate color. <br />Bathrooms, Install one 36" long vanity cabinet to each <br />bathroom (2) and add 3/4" counter tops covering with <br />laminate, formica or equal, running 4" high (minimum) <br />backsplash up each wall adjacent to counters. <br />Contractor to provide owner with an allowance of $75 for <br />each vanity. Owner to select laminate color. <br />More bathroom work. Install laminate, formica or equal, <br />to all three walls around the new bathtub, up at least <br />70" above the drain. Seal new surround with rubber <br />silicone caulking. Install 1/2" particle board underlayment to the <br />entire kitchen -eating area. Install 1/2" plywood <br />underlayment to both bathroom areas and the new laundry <br />closet. The new underlayment shall be prepared by a <br />professional floor layer and then laid by the same. <br />Glue down $15 per square yard (retail price) vinyl to <br />all new underlayment and finish with wood base and metal <br />moldings as necessary to complete the job. Owner to <br />select new vinyl. <br />Carpet. Install $12 per square yard (retail price) <br />carpet over new.1/2" rebond pad to the following areas: <br />the entire length of hallway starting at the living room <br />and running around the corner and down to the bedrooms <br />(including closet off the hallway), all bedrooms (4) <br />including closets and the large living room. The <br />contractor shall perform all necessary floor repairs <br />prior to laying new carpet. Complete carpeting with <br />necessary base and metal moldings.
