CITY Of EVERETT <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES <br />June 28, 1982 <br />The regular meeting uf the Board of Adjustment was called to order at 7:10 P. M., in the <br />City Council Chambers by Vice-Chairman Doug Zook. �ewey Barnett was also in <br />attendance. Sec. <br />18.44.210 for permission to provide <br />access to the rear lot of a two !ot <br />short-plat by a 20 foot wide easement <br />along the west side of the front lot. <br />` _ 2319 75th .ST, ,,$—� <br />R-1, 5ingle Family Low Densit� <br />Residential <br />Don Wood, of the Planning Department, presented the staff report and showed slides of <br />� the project, :xplaining that even though there was 33 feet of setback east of the existing <br />house the applicant wished to save a row of large evergreens on the east property line <br />and also add a garage on the east side of the existing house which is the reason he is <br />asking for an easement access on the west instead of providing a panhandle on the east. <br />The following citizens spoke and were not oppused to the variance, but were expressing <br />concern about (1) that other lots in the area are much larger, (2) lack of notification of <br />the shortplat, (3) they had been told years ago that the large lots could not be <br />shortplatted,(4) excessive traffic on 75th Street: <br />A. E. <br />Don Wood and Frank Wilson explained to the citizens that present law did not require <br />notification of proposed shortplats and that the hearing tonight was only to address the <br />issue of easement access. <br />John Powell, applicant, spoke regarding his plans for adding a garage to the existing <br />house and stated that he was planning on living in the house to be built on the rear lot. <br />1 <br />� <br />� <br />
