Inasmuch as the Contractor will be lield responsible for paying the prevailing wages, it is imperative tliat all Contractors familiarize tliemselves with tlie current wage rates before submitting bids based on these specifications. Each vouclier claim submitted by a Contractor for payment on a project shall state prevailing wages have been paid in accordance with the prefiled Statement or Statements of lntent on file witli the Department of Labor and Industries as approved by the Industrlal Statlstician. (25)A. Tiie Contractor agrees to be bound by all Federal and State laws, regulations and policies against discrimination and agrees not to discriminate against any employee ar applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, marital state, or national origin. Such actions sliall include but not be limited to, Lhe following: employment, upgrading, demotlons, or transltions; rates of pay or otlier forms of compensation; selection for training including apprenticesliip; and participation in recreational and educational activities. The Contractor agrees to post in conspicuous places available to employees and applicants for employment notice setting fortli tiie provisions of this nondiscrimination clause. Tlie Contractor will in ail solicitations and advertisements for employees placed by or on behalf of the Contractor state tliat all qualified applicants will receive conslderation for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, liandicap, marltal state or national origin. 11ie Contractor will cause the foregoing provlsions to be inserted in all subcontracts for any v+ork covered by this Agreement so that such provislans will be binding upon each •ubr,ontractor. B. The Contractor shall keep sucli records and submit such reports concerning the racial and etlinic origin of applicants for employment and employees as tlie City may require. C. The Contractor agrees to comply witli such rules, regulations or guidelines as tlie City may issue to iinplement tliese requirements effective on the date of tiiis Agreement. D. The Contractor further agrees to affirmatively support the participation of minority and women's businesses in contracts, etc. (2G) The City's Plannin �ircotor shall have the right at his discretion, to ex en the tune for completion of work. No extension siiall be valid unless tlie same be in writing and be accompanied by tlie surety or tlie bond of tfie Contractor. (27) Stipulation of Venue. It is agreed by the Contractor that a venue for any lawsuit arlsing out of tliis Contract shall be 5nohomish Councy. Contractnrs shall include a stipulation of venue in Snohomish County clause in all subcontractors hereunder. 6
