The scope of our <br />sludy included Cest pits, laboraCory lests, getiCechni.cal <br />enyineertnq analyses and the preparaCion oC this report. <br />Our study indicatr_s that the easC site is underlain by <br />glacially.consolidalQd till at relaCively shalluw deoths wilh <br />some loose, Wet Eills overlying par�.s oE the souChwest corner of <br />Che siCe. The western site is also underlain by den:;e till <br />soils at rela.ively shallow dapChs. Loose wet fills �,�ere also <br />encountered ln lhe northwest and southwesl: parts oE this site <br />and, un�er the Eill in'the southwest corner, therc is about Cour <br />(4) feet of organic silt and peat. �1'he swamp aeea is also <br />immedialely underlain by up Co aC least Eourteen and one-lialf. <br />(14-1/2) feet of soft or loose maCerial. The proposed tilt-up <br />warehouse strucCures may be ,u�porl:ed on cenvenCional spread <br />Lootings and slabs-on-grade beacing on ciCher the dence nati•�e <br />till soils or strucLural [ill. Tl�e most critical point from a <br />geotechnical aspect will be Che placement oE.a high fill on the <br />western bog area. Ttiu soEl soils will liave to be ramoved and <br />tl�e Eill placed on Eirm ground.
