At last one handrail shall extend at least 12 inches beyond the top riser and 23 <br /> inches beyond the bottom riser. Section(i). <br /> 18. Guardrails for stairs, balconies and landings shall conform with Section <br /> 1712(a). Note that maximum clearance between intermediate rails is less than 4 <br /> inches and guardrail height should be 42 inches. (Guardrails at the sides of <br /> open stairways may have a height as permitted for handrails.) Section 1712(a). <br /> 19. Provide exit signs in conformance with Section 3314. <br /> 20. Please provide information/details of draft curtains heat/smoke vents, <br /> emergency access doors, and hose requirements per article 81 Uniform Fire <br /> Code. <br /> L/21. Please indicate a north arrow on the site plans. <br /> V 22. Accessible doors shall have maneuvering clearances per Section 31060)3. This <br /> item applies to door number 28. <br /> 23. Section 3103(b)4. <br /> 24. All exterior exits which are located adjacent to accessible areas and within 6 <br /> inches of grade shall be accessible. Section 3104(c). <br /> 25. In multi-story buildings or portions thereof required to be accessible by Section <br /> 3103, at least one accessible elevator shall serve each level, including <br /> mezzanines.
