4 . Special charges for connection to the sewer and water <br /> systems in accordance with Ordinance 1171-85 are applicable. <br /> The actual cost shall be computed by the Building Department <br /> per the ordinance in effect at the time and according to the <br /> information on the approved plans on the date of permit <br /> issuance. <br /> 5. UBC requirements for an AZ. 1 occupancy specify that: <br /> - Non-rated construction is not permitted; <br /> - Main exit must be capable (code-wise) of handling a <br /> minimum of one-half of the occupant load. (Note: <br /> there currently is no main exit on the existing buil- <br /> ding. ) <br /> 6. The change of use requires total compliance of the building <br /> for the new use. <br /> 7. City Ordinance requires an automatic sprinkler system. <br /> 8. Installation of a manual fire alarm system is required for <br /> any A-2.1 occupancy, per section 1404 (b) of the Uniform <br /> Fire Code. <br /> 9. The Police Department has the following security <br /> recommendations: <br /> a. Parking lot lighting should be a minimum of 3 - 4 foot <br /> candles. <br /> b. Shrubbery should be planned so that it will not provide <br /> concealment and should be maintained and/or pruned so <br /> that a person cannot be concealed. <br /> c. A monitored fire and intrusion alarm system should be <br /> zoned for each entity. <br /> III. APPEALS: <br /> This administrative decision may be appealed to the City Land Use <br /> Hearing Examiner, if such appeal is submitted to the Planning <br /> Department within 10 working days of the date of this decision. <br /> There is a $100 appeal fee.
