During construction activities, all spills of fUel and hazardous materials must be contained <br />and removed in such a manner as to prevent their entering the waters and soils of the State. <br />Cleanup of spills must take precedence over other work on site. (SEPA Earth, Water and <br />Environmental Health Policies) <br />During construction, all petroleum products, chemicals, and building materials that could <br />contaminate runoff must be stored in a lined covered area. An impervious berm must be <br />constructed around the perimeter of the storage area. The storage area must be located away <br />from environmentally sensitive areas. In order to expedite plan review, a hazardous materials inventory list shall be provided as a <br />/ part of the submittal for building permits. All developments must provide adequate lighting of parking lots and others areas which have <br />an increased risk for crime. Illumination should be a minimum of 3-4 foot candles. (The <br />City of Everett Zoning Code requires that a1I parking lots with more than 10 spaces provide <br />security lighting.
