• 4L <br />The members voted 5 to 0 to deny the applicant's request. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Robert Gould (The Colby Co.) <br />2013 Third Ave, Seattle, WA 98121 for a variance from Section 19.22.060 <br />of the Everett Municipal Code, Yard Requirements Paragraphs B & C for <br />permission to construct a building to the North property line (35th St.) <br />and to the East property line (alley) rather than the requirement of fiftee <br />(15) feet on `he North and twenty (20) feet on the East on the following <br />described property: <br />Lots 2-9 Block 7 Friday's First Add; and Lot 1 Block 853 Plat of Everett <br />Div. "II" <br />Address: Approximately 3501 Colby (SE corner of 35th and Colby Ave) <br />Zoning: R-5 Core Area Residential <br />Mr. Gould, a Seattle attorney, represented the Colby Co. and requested a <br />thirty (30) day postponement as their revised request was received too <br />late to be published. <br />It was moved by Mr. Kristiansen, seconded by Mr. Zook and unanimously <br />carried ' grant the thirty (30) day postponement to allow for a proper <br />newspapez notice. <br />All members voted in favor of the thirty (30) day extension. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Jerry's Surplus, 2031 Broadway, <br />Everett, WA 98201 for a variance from Section 19.42.020 of the Everett <br />Municipal Code, Off Street Parking for permission to construct a new <br />building and provide eighteen (18) leased off street parking stalls for the <br />property to the immediate North (Prarie Market) rather than provide <br />the required eighteen (18) off street parking spaces on the premises of <br />the applicant as the City Code specifies. <br />Legal Description: Lots, 13-16 Block 419 Plat of Everett Div "K" <br />Address: 2031 Broadway <br />Zoning: C-S General Commercial <br />Mr. Stan Siegel, owner of the Duffle Bag Corporation, represented <br />Jerry's Surplus Store. Mr. Siegel had the following comments: <br />1. Jerry's Surplus has negotiated a parking lease with Prarie <br />Market, the grocery store immediately to the North. <br />2. This lease is for eighteen (18) off street parking spaces and <br />will expire in 1985. <br />The owners of Prarie Market have never complained about.Jerry's <br />Surplus using their parking lot. <br />4. A new properly designed Jerry's Surplus building should <br />reduce pilferage. <br />(2) <br />
