Bob Tiscareno, AIA
Tiscareno Associates
Mr. Tiscareno comments in favor of the proposal generally and points to how the proposal would
support sustainable development patterns and transit oriented development specifically.
Staff Note: Mr. Tiscareno's firm produced the current site plan and Design Guidelines &
Standards for the proposal.
Response: Thank you for your comments.
21. Derrick Davis
Mr. Davis comments in favor of the proposal. He suggests certain provisions be made part of
any future PDO (development land use agreement between property owner and City, known as a
Planned Development Overlay) so as to protect interests of surrounding residential property
owners. He seeks to protect views from encroachment by tall buildings, roofs should be of
natural colors, as compared to the "aesthetic damage" certain industrial building have caused,
outdoor lights should point down to protect the night sky, industrial zones should be reviewed
and made to better support higher paying and high tech jobs (add to community value), homes
built on the proposed mixed use site should be aimed at the "prime" real-estate market.
Response: Thank you for your comments.
23. Tom Norcott
Lists several reasons for supporting the proposal, including the design, proposed traffic calming
measures, aesthetics, the inclusion of affordable housing, a reduction in truck traffic and more
parks.
Response: Thank you for your comments.
Chapter 1 — General Comments
2
