To Dave Koenig
Everett Planning Dept,
Subject: CEMEX
October 26, 2009
This written statement is a follow up to the presentation at the DSEIS Public Comment of
October 6 t with the Everett Planning Commission.
I am in support of the 70 acre Rezone change for CEMEX on West side of Glenwood and for
Alternative 2 for the eastside which keeps the R2 zoning. The current proposal leaves more
industrial property available for small business development that encourages manufacturing jobs
rather then the oversized less employees warehousing. The development of homes and business
would buffer the industrial area from residential along Glenwood. Avenue.
Though not entirely aligned with 1000 units of housing, I believe that this development would be
suited for this area. Driving from Broadway and Madison to Mukilteo Blvd would have a
friendlier neighborhood feeling then driving down Hardison has with the industrial base along
that route. CEMEX has done a nice job in developing a proposal that comes closer to what
neighbor's inputs have been during this process. I am looking forward to seeing what the future
holds for this site.
Dennis Dudder {
5811 Cady Road _
Everett, WA 98203
