I am in favor of the re -zoning and CEMEX plans
for development for the following reasons:
* the plan clearly is well thought out and professionally designed
* the traffic section demonstrates traffic calming concepts which will make Glenwood Ave and Seivers
Duesy Avenue safer for pedestrians and automobile traffic
* the aesthetics are a huge improvement over what exists there now
• the design has affordable housing and businesses - well laid out compared to other locations in
Everett
• CEMEX a financially and community concerned viable company
* nearby neighbors will not have to worry about settling basin dikes breaking and other
environmental concerns that exist today
• the design will improve the quality of life compared to heavy industrial
* reduction in heavy truck traffic
• potential for more park property and open access to the public that does not exist today
Thanks for listening and hope things work out for the best. Thank you for your hard work making
Everett a better place to live
Tom Morcott - Everett resident - 1402 Madrona Ave. Everett, WA 98203
1
