CEMEX Property DSEIS 09-001
Comprehensive Plan amendment and rezone
October 8"' 2009
3. Design Standards Street + Urban Space Standards page 24: Under the description of
a LANE the last sentence "No street parking is allowed to a lane" My question or
concern is that there be adequate parking on site for each individual property so they
don't block the street or sidewalk as illustrated in the drawing to the right of the page
noted. This is also referenced on page 106, zoning requirements for Residential
Standards, noting a 20 -foot minimum setback for a Garage from the ROW. I would
hope that if a car were parked in the driveway that it would not block the sidewalk or
extend out into the street. Where do visitors park if they can't park on the street?
4. Design Standards Sustainability page 126 and Green Building Practices: Last
sentence under this topic says, "For Glenwood to become a Built Green certified
community, all homes must be built to the one -star level" Does that mean they must
be or it would be nice if they were?
5. Parkland oven -space as shown: Reference Glenwood Design Standards, page 5.
How will the proposed parkland open -space shown be developed (by the city?) as far
as specific amenities, especially on the steep slope at the south side of the Sievers
Ducey Boulevard?
Thank you in advance for addressing our questions and concerns. As we mentioned
previously we are in favor of this rezone and will support this overall master design as
proposed. We think the redevelopment proposed will be good for the neighborhood and the
city of Everett.
Sincerely,
Michael Barthol, AIA
5106 El Charlee Street
Everett, WA 98203
cc: CJ Ebert, Harbor Mountain Development
Page 2 of 2
