During Nick's sophomore year, he suffered the unexpected loss of his older <br /> brother Zach, with whom he was very close. With the support of his <br /> friends, family and school community, Nick has continued to press on and <br /> excel in all areas. <br /> His inspiration comes from mentors and former teacher Mr. Gary Evans. <br /> He hopes to someday teach music or work in the environmental science <br /> field. He plans to attend Pacific Lutheran University in the fall and swim on <br /> the PLU swim team. He describes himself as hardworking, friendly and <br /> musical. <br />
